Had a great run today. Ran 6 miles but with different intervals. I was talking to my bud Danny and he said he tried some interval training, so I decided to mix it up because I feel I'm pushing too hard when running. I wanted to average a 10 minute mile. I have been trying to slow down my pace on most of my runs.

1 mile 6.5 mph
.5 mile 5.7 mph
.5 mile 6.3 mph
.5mile 5.6 mph
.5mile 6.4 mph
.5 mile 5.5 mph
.5 mile 6.5 mph

I had all kinds of energy to spare at the end. I have to look into split intervals and more formal training methods. My biggest concern is that I want to stay injury free.
